Feeding time
Every year the cardinals produce two or three, sometimes four, new broods of chicks in my yard. They seem to enjoy my backyard, especially the tall bamboo when the chicks become fledglings – it has lots of small branches and plenty of protection. I spotted them at feeding time on my fence. I love the way they flutter their wings excitedly when mama or papa approach.
All three baby chicks – you'll have to look for the third one.
