Sunday I focused on building the wall and revamping the bromeliads before adding them to the planting area. My friend Debbie gave me a sweet little water lily, which is already growing. And the fish? They are growing, too, although a little shy yet.

Pond progress
Saturday and Sunday were very physical days for me as the pond neared closer to completion. I am pleased with the progress, although have more to do. Some very nice people, Shannon & Luis, gave me rocks from their yard after offering it on CraigsList. I spent about 1 1/2 hours loading about 8 loads of rock into my little red kid's wagon and then into my Honda... and later that day unloading it all and carting it to the backyard. Whew... what a workout!
